Fundación Futuro Brillante was established in August 2016 by the Del Corazon Foundation.

The founders are deeply committed to supporting local communities, and thus created Futuro Brillante to help the residents of the Cabo Velas District in Guanacaste achieve a “brighter future”.

Futuro Brillante accomplishes its mission through direct program delivery in coordination with the local community, as well as collaborative partnerships with the private sector, public institutions, and other nonprofit organizations.

ABOUT MATAPALO

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”text_white”]Our project headquarters are located in Matapalo, a traditional Guanacasteco community located in the district of Cabo Velas. This beautiful farming community is located just a few kilometers from more than 10 breathtaking beaches, including Playa Grande, Playa Ventanas, Playa Conchal, Playa Minas, and Bahía de los Piratas. The town is well known in the region for its talented musicians, traditional dance groups, and excellent soccer teams. Matapalo’s infrastructure includes a public elementary school, community daycare,  Catholic Church, police station, public clinic (EBAIS), a few small restaurants, and two super markets.

While Matapalo is a tranquil town with a united community, many families live at or below the poverty level as a result of limited education opportunities and widespread unemployment combined with the high cost of living. Lack of employment has also contributed to an increase in drug and alcohol abuse, a problem that has especially affected local youth.

While Futuro Brillante is based in Matapalo, we strive to serve all residents of the District of Cabo Velas including the communities of Lomas, La Garita Vieja, Lajas de Matapalo, Playa Grande, Salinitas, Puerto Viejo and Playa Real.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section][vc_section css=”.vc_custom_1651271869548{margin-top: 50px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_row][vc_column el_class=”text_grey grey_line”][block_title title=”OUR TEAM”][/block_title][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_background”][vc_column width=”1/3″ centered_cont=”true”][services_media photo=”11700″ link=””]
