This program identifies local families living in deteriorated houses with leaky roofs and dirt floors. We hire local contractors to repair the most damaged areas of the roof and pour cement floors. These two simple improvements make a tremendous impact on the safety and sanitary conditions of the home, while also making a major improvement in the quality of life for the participating family.
NEW PROJECT FOR 2021! We have identified the lack of safe and affordable housing to be one of the most difficult challenges in our community, especially for families facing a crisis such as an unexpected illness, loss of employment, or a natural disaster. For that reason, we have decided to construct several casitas (little houses) to provide safe, secure housing for local families facing an emergency situation that would otherwise leave them out on the streets.
Futuro Brillante is committed to supporting Matapalo and the surrounding area by investing in infrastructure projects that benefit of all members our community. Previous projects have included the Matapalo Playground, the Matapalo School Gymnasium/Auditorium, the Matapalo Kindergarten, the La Garita Vieja Classroom, and the Multi-Use Sports Courts.
