English & IT Literacy
Since tourism is the main industry in our area, we strive to ensure that the local workforce is trained to find work. Fluency in English and computer skills are two of the top skills required by local employers.
Our innovative programs ensure that our students are acquiring the skills they need to be competitive in the local job market. More than 60 young people and adults, learning English and programming using the NEO and Code Monkey platforms.
Neo is a multimedia English educational solution that uses a neuroscience-based methodology for native- like learning in less time than any other system on the current market, ensuring real results. Utilizes an integrated Artificial Intelligence system with voice recognition within its programming to provide the student with content appropriate to their level and enable natural English learning goals. Was designed to work alternately, combining the platform and interaction with a teacher.
Neo’s certificate levels align with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and include 11 levels: PreA1, A1, A1+, A2, A2+, B1, B1+, B2, B2+, C1, and C1-Bridge, with the certificate being extended and endorsed by DynEd.
SCHOOL ALLIANCES
Support for Local Schools
We provide support for local elementary and high schools through a variety of initiatives and programs to help students reach their full potential.
Transportation scholarship: 15 students receive a monthly scholarship to pay their transportation costs to get to their respective school.
Read-A-Thon: In alliance with Costa Rica International Academy (CRIA), and thanks to the student´s parents donations, a total of 1,116 books were delivered to the Matapalo School (728 textbooks/182 packages of 4 books) and the Garita Vieja School (388 textbooks/97 packages of 4 books)
Club House 2024: Seeks to motivate young people in the Cabo Velas district to prepare for current job opportunities; as well as to provide them with tools for the development of psychosocial skills that contribute to the construction of their life project, through recreational, artistic and cultural activities; and at the same time for the prevention of multifactorial violence, building a more comprehensive and safer educational environment.
