Thanks once again to the generosity of the students, parents and teachers of Costa Rica International Academy (CRIA), Futuro Brillante was able to donate 78 school supply packets and new backpacks to children from low-income households in Matapalo to start the 2018 school year. An additional 22 packets were donated to students by Libreria Sienna in Brasilito. Funds from CRIA were also used to purchase a complete set of textbooks for all 203 students at the Matapalo elementary school. The funds were raised through CRIA’s annual Read-a-Thon event.
