In August 2016, the Futuro Brillante Foundation was born with a clear purpose: not to be a temporary band-aid, but a true engine of change for the District of Cabo Velas. Over the past decade, it has transformed the lives of more than 3,456 residents across Cabo Velas through education, economic empowerment, and community wellbeing programs. A Decade of Collaborative Impact
- Early Childhood Programs:
Infants and toddlers receive nutritional support and developmental therapies through the Baby Bank and Early Stimulation Program — giving children a healthy start before they ever reach a classroom. - After-School Club House:
Teens build confidence, leadership skills, and a vision for their future in a safe, structured environment, reducing vulnerability to drugs and dropout. - Vocational & Technical Training:
Adults gain English language, business development, and professional certifications through partnerships with INA and UCR, opening doors to better-paying jobs. - Women's Health & Empowerment:
Hundreds of women have accessed prenatal care, health education, and gender-based violence prevention resources in partnership with INAMU and IMAS. - Community Hub Campus:
A dedicated physical space — built with support from Del Corazon, Rotary Club of Lakewood, and CoHOPE — serves as an anchor for learning, volunteering, and strategic alliances.
