On August 23rd and 24th , around 100 adolescent and adult women from Matapalo, Huacas, Brasilito, Cartagena and Tamarindo, among other communities in Santa Cruz- Guanacaste, enjoyed the Women’s Health and Hygiene Event, coordinated by the First Lady Office.

This event is the result of a joint effort led by the First Lady of the Republic, Signe Zeikate, within her “Wellbeing” initiative, in collaboration with key allies. Procter & Gamble (P&G) contributed with the donation of personal care kits; the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica offered educational workshops for adolescents and women under its care, in addition to providing spaces for exercises, facilitated by students of Nursing and Physical Therapy; the company Bayer AG participated by giving a workshop on health in perimenopause and menopause; and the Fundación Futuro Brillante, which not only provided its facilities for the development of the initiative, but also took charge of calling on the women of the community.
