Tropical Storm Nate caused major damage in the local area in October of 2017. Many homes were flooded and some families lost everything. In response, Futuro Brillante organized a donation drive with our zumba group. All items were doanted to the local Red Cross. We also sent medicine, food, and personal items with a doctor from Beachside Clinic to families in Puerto Viejo and Playa Real who were unable to pass due to the destruction of the road. Reserva Conchal and the local Police Force also were leaders in helping to bring supplies to those families. Futuro Brillante also supported the Municipality of Santa Cruz in the repair of several local roads through a donation of materials.
